This endorsement requires 18 semester hours with coursework in each of the identified areas.
The following UIUC courses are required to add a subsequent Elementary Education endorsement to any PEL:
Child Growth & Development, EPSY 201 or CI 424
Literacy Methods, CI 475
Assessment/Planning, CI 406
Methods and Content Pedagogy, CI 451 and CI 432
Passage of the Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) Content Exam
