State law requires all educator licensure candidates complete mandated reporter training, know the signs and roles of educators in recognizing and reporting cases of child harassment/abuse which includes physical, emotional, sexual, and/or neglect, and recognize their role as a mandated reporter and the associated responsibilities. Candidates are also responsible for following the school district's policies and protocols for reporting concerns and observations regarding abuse.
